Search Engines For Newbies

Hello all, my title says it all. For some reason google picked up my content from the footer area, and used it as my site description?

How can i stop major search engines from picking up content from diffrent parts of my site, to use as my site descripion?

How can i make it so they only spider the descripion the site is optimized for?

Google use to crawl my correct site descripion like a few weeks ago, but dont know what happend.

I want to know if I want to advertise as a web hosting reseller with Yahoo & Google search engines, how much it is cost approximately. I mean PPC. They don’t refer exactly to this issue.

If you have any experience relating this matter please share it with me.
By the way, in your opinion which of them is more effective?

Can anybody suggest a good search engine which pays money to user for searching? I was trying scour but they have changed the point system now and it really sucks. I want another alternative.

I’m looking for a publishing company that will accept a literary fiction piece I wrote. It is a letter that encompasses dark themes, including murder and a forbidden love. I need a search engine that will assist me in finding a publishing company. I’ve heard of one that lets me look for companies that pay, are geared for my theme, and publish for a certain age group. Anyone know what I’m looking for?

I want to make a search engine that only searches certain sites. In other words, I would have a database of URL’s, and when people use the search engine on my site, it would search all throughout those preselected sites, but nowhere else. It would also need to be free and have an unlimited (or at least VERY large) ammount of sites that can be added to it.

It can be either the HTML code itself, or a free service on the web, although I would prefer to simply know the HTML code.
